Sign Up for Chatonbo and Create a Bot
Head to chatonbo.com/platform/register and create your free account. You can sign up with your email or use Google OAuth for one-click access. Configure Your Bot Settings and Knowledge Base

Copy the Embed Script Tag
In your Chatonbo dashboard, navigate to your bot and click the "Embed" tab. You will see a single script tag that looks like this:

Click the copy button to copy this script tag to your clipboard. You will paste it into Wix in the next step.
Open Wix Custom Code Settings
Log in to your Wix account and open the Wix Editor. In the left sidebar or top menu, navigate to Settings > Custom Code. In some Wix versions, this is located under Advanced > Custom Code. You can also access it directly from your Wix dashboard under Settings > Custom Code without opening the editor.
Note: Custom Code is available on all Wix premium plans. If you are on the free Wix plan, you will need to upgrade.
Add the Chatonbo Script
Click the "+ Add Custom Code" button. A dialog will appear with a text area. Paste the Chatonbo script tag you copied in Step 3 into this field. Give the code snippet a name like "Chatonbo Chatbot" so you can identify it later.
Set Placement to "Body - End" on All Pages
In the same dialog, configure these settings:
- Place Code in: Body - End (this ensures the chatbot loads after your page content)
- Pages: All Pages (or choose specific pages if you prefer)
- Load code once: Per page (recommended)
Click Apply to save the custom code.
Publish Your Wix Site and Test
Click Publish in the Wix Editor to push your changes live. Visit your website and you should see the Chatonbo chat bubble in the bottom-right corner. Click it to open the chat window and test a conversation. Verify that the bot responds with accurate answers based on your knowledge base.
Using Wix Studio (New Editor)?
If you are using the new Wix Studio editor instead of the classic Wix Editor, the steps are slightly different. Wix Studio uses a different interface but still supports custom code injection.
Open your site in Wix Studio and click on Settings in the left panel.
Navigate to Custom Code under the Advanced section.
Click + Add Custom Code and paste the Chatonbo script tag.
Set the placement to Body - End and choose which pages to apply it to.
